Common Shortcuts

Mastering shortcuts will significantly speed up your workflow.

macOS Note: TouchDesigner uses Ctrl, not Cmd, for its shortcuts on macOS — this is intentional and differs from most Mac apps. Alt translates to the Option (⌥) key.

Key	Action
Tab	Open the Operator Create Dialog
Middle Mouse	Show operator info/status
P	Toggle Parameter window
U	Go “Up” one level (to Parent)
Enter/I	Go “Inside” a Component
C	Toggle Color palette for nodes
A	Toggle “Viewer Active” for the selected node
Space	Pause/Play the global timeline
Reset button	Reset the timeline to frame 1 — use the Reset transport button in the Timeline bar (no keyboard shortcut exists for this)
