Gaming is a good way to switch gears - sometimes it’s about the mechanical challenge of a tactical shooter, other times it’s just about a well-told story.

Tactical Shooters

These are mostly about the technical side of things: positioning, timing, and mechanical consistency.

  • Counter-Strike - It’s the gold standard for a reason. The focus on pure mechanical skill and the high-pressure rounds where every decision matters makes it hard to put down.
  • Ready or Not - A much slower, more methodical experience. It requires a different kind of focus - less about fast reflexes and more about situational awareness and staying calm when things go sideways.

Narrative & World-Building

  • Yakuza Series - It has a unique way of balancing a very serious crime drama with completely unhinged side content. The world feels dense and lived-in, and it doesn’t take itself too seriously despite the high stakes of the main plot.
