Who am I?

Hey, I’m Yusuf Abdul Aziz.

I’m an M.Sc. Information Systems student at the University of Stuttgart, focused on Python tooling, data/ML workflows, and TypeScript web projects. Since July 2026 I have been working as a PIM working student (Werkstudent) at BTS GmbH.

This site, the (y)usage Garden, is where I publish project notes, technical references, and longer writeups on what I am learning and building.

Technical Focus

  • Python tooling: CLIs, package structure, text/PDF processing, tests, reproducible local workflows.
  • Data and ML: PyTorch, scikit-learn, TF-IDF matching, n-gram statistics, graph neural networks.
  • Web: TypeScript, Vue, Node.js, Quartz, GitHub Pages, Cloudflare.
  • Interactive systems: TouchDesigner, OpenCV, MediaPipe, ModernGL, GLSL, real-time rendering.

Current Work

  • SlideLink: offline Python CLI for matching Markdown lecture notes to PDF slide screenshots.
  • Keyboard AI: n-gram-based keyboard layout optimizer with an ergonomic scoring model.
  • AttractorMediaPipe: gesture-controlled strange-attractor visualizer with high-resolution exports.
  • Digital Garden: this Quartz site and its TouchDesigner reference section.

Film

Outside of code I shoot 35mm film. Collages from my rolls are on the Film page.
